What Is D2D Duathlon

The D2D Duathlon is an initiative conceived by the Neville Endeavours Foundation (NEF) to raise funds for meaningful causes. The event is dedicated to supporting underprivileged children, focusing on providing access to education and medical care.

Born in Hyderabad and raised in the Nilgiris, this Parsi who made Chennai his home, Neville Jamshed Bilimoria is a multifaceted individual recognized for his achievements and philanthropic efforts. In his professional career, he holds over 30 years of experience, and as the Managing Director of Bilimoria Impex Pvt. Ltd., established in 1995, he specializes in family immigration visas, skilled migration, and investment migration programs.

Neville is a sportsperson, in his head and heart, and in every sense of the word. Bringing to his sport – rowing, running and cycling – a great sense of commitment, discipline, endurance and empathy, and as a competitive runner and cyclist, accomplishments rest very lightly on his shoulders.  He is a national silver medallist in rowing, a passionate ultra marathoner, a dedicated ultra-cyclist and above all a serial philanthropist.

As the founder of the D2D Marathon and managing trustee of the Neville Endeavours Foundation, Neville leads a team that organizes the annual D2D event to benefit children in need.

Through his professional and philanthropic endeavors, Neville Bilimoria continues to make a significant impact in both the community and his field.

Summary Of The Causes Supported In Each Edition:

1st Edition (2012)

• Raised awareness and funds for the Round Table India MCRT 94 – Freedom Through Education project.
• Proceeds were utilized to construct classrooms for underprivileged children.

2nd Edition (2013)

• Focused on children affected by Cerebral Palsy.
• Funds supported the treatment of these children and the purchase of Therasuit equipment.

3rd Edition (2014)

• Continued support for children with Cerebral Palsy.
• Raised funds for their treatment and the acquisition of Therasuit equipment.
• Donated an aqua-therapy facility to enhance rehabilitation efforts.

4th Edition (2014)

• Hosted Chennai’s first-ever Night Marathon to promote organ donation awareness.
• Substantial funds were raised for LYLF and Apollo Hospitals, aiding children in need of organ transplants.

5th Edition (2016)

• Renewed support for the Round Table India – Freedom Through Education project.
• Funds contributed to building classrooms and toilet blocks for underprivileged children.

6th Edition (2018)

• Raised awareness and funds for the Cancer Institute, Adyar (WIA).
• Donations were directed towards the treatment of children affected by cancer.

7th Edition (2021)

• Supported the Apollo Cancer Foundation.
• Funds were allocated for the treatment of children battling cancer.

Cumulative Impact :

Across these seven editions, the D2D Marathon has raised an impressive ₹4.43 crores. 

These funds have been instrumental in advancing educational opportunities and providing critical healthcare to children in need.

YEAR 2025 - D2D SUPPORTS CANCER INSTITUTE (WIA)

This year, the D2D Duathlon is proud to support the Cancer Institute (WIA) for the second time, raising funds to further its impactful mission for the year 2025.

Founded in 1954 by Dr Muthulakshmi Reddy and nurtured by Dr. S Krishnamurthi and Dr. V Shanta, the Cancer Institute (WIA) is a distinguished charitable institution dedicated to comprehensive cancer care, research, and support services.

Over the past six decades, it has evolved from a modest 12-bed cottage hospital into a state-of-the-art cancer center with more than 675 beds.
